This morning we had the distinct pleasure of meeting our new neighbor and friend, Essie Schultz. Essie is the owner and operator of the Good Grain Bread Company, an artisan micro bakery located in Earleville, Maryland. Essie is self-taught and began baking as a hobby in 2008 shortly after her daughter was born.
The “Bake House” where Essie, baker extraordinaire hand mixes and shapes each loaf of bread comprised of only fresh grains and ingredients is adjacent to the home she shares with her husband John and their three children. Essie, having been a baker in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey was selling wholesale goods to local grocers and restaurants before moving her home and business to Earleville. Her husband accepted a job transfer and her good friends Jason and Ashley Bradford assisted them in finding the perfect home for their family. A menu of offerings can be found at Goodgrainbreadco.com. A wonderful assortment of breads, bagels, scones and cookies are displayed on the website.
Welcome neighbor, we are so happy to have you here! Wishing you many happy and successful years in business.
